3D PLANT DESIGN

Perigon was one of the first engineering firms in the Southeast to adopt 3d plant design.  In the late 1990’s Perigon was utilizing PDMS to develop 3d interactive models for clients.  We now use the AutoCAD Plant3d™ platform for all our modeling efforts.  From the model we extract 2d drawings, pipe spool fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, stress isometrics, and piping bills of materials.  We can also share the live model with clients either in person or remotely using Navisworks™ software for model viewing.

In addition, Perigon provides laser scanning and 3D model creation for industrial facilities and chemical processing plants.  Models are used to create “As-Built” documentation of plants without legacy drawings, virtual models for training and inspections, asset records for traceability, and process/utility location maps for maintenance or plant operations.  Utilizing our 3d plant modeling software, Perigon takes point cloud scans and converts them to 3d models which show as much or as little detail as a customer needs to capture.  We can then model piping, steel, equipment, lighting, or any item picked up in the laser scan.

We take our name from the geometric angle of 360 degrees representing the full circle of engineering services we provide.
