Invista Filament Line K13 Old World Project

Invista (formerly KoSa)
Salisbury, North Carolina
K15 Reactor

One of the feature projects executed by Perigon for Invista' Salisbury plant was the replacement of the K15 Polymer Reactor. Perigon provided all detailed design for the $5MM project to replace an antiquated reactor with a state-of-the-art vessel. The effort required substantial structural steel modifications, new polymer piping, and dowtherm piping modifications. Since 1991,

Perigon has completed more than 730 projects for the Invista (formerly KoSa, Trevira, Hoechst Celanese) plant in Salisbury, North Carolina. Other major projects have included design for a new K50 CP Line, a new K19 Spinning Line, three new Bi-component Filament lines, modernization of several other CP lines, Drawframes, Polymer Filtration and extensive work on polymer, chip, Dowtherm, and utilities piping systems. Perigon has also participated in countless projects involving upgrades to the plant DCS and PLC controls systems.
